MIXED USE COMMERCIAL/RESIDENTIAL
PROPERTY, MAIN STREET MEDICINE LAKE, MT
This
historic Main St. building was built in 1910 when Medicine
Lake was first established. Originally built as a
restaurant, it has since served as a bank, a post office and
a flower shop. It sits on a lot measuring 60 ft. wide X 135 ft.
deep with plentiful trees and shrubs.
The footprint of the building is 23 ft. X 67 ft. and is
commercial retail in the front
with an apartment in the back. The apt. has a large kitchen, living
room, bath, laundry area and 3 bedrooms. There is a full
basement, and separate furnaces and hot water heaters for
the residential and commercial spaces.
The furnaces are modern propane furnaces and were running
within the last few years. The last time the building was
occupied was approx. 4-5 years ago.
The
exterior is stucco and there are original wood floors - some
softwood and some maple, under several layers of old
linoleum or carpet. The lot has a trailer hook-up to city
water and sewer.
The building needs a new roof and ceiling repairs inside,
along with a lot of updating, but the basic structure is
strong and stout. With some TLC and elbow grease, this could
make a good living space and a possible retail rental.
