Nice looking web sight. You
might want to make it easier to find the media that serve your area
like your local newspaper and your local radio stations. Was looking
for 'em on your web sight, and although they may be listed
somewhere, I couldn't find 'em. If you get a chance, let me know if
the Plentywood Hearld or KATQ is on the web. If, they're not, they
should be. If they are . . please email me their web addresses.
My association with
Plentywood and Sheridan County goes back to 1968 and 1969 when I was
the manager of what was then called KPWD-FM Radio. My wife and I now
own KDIX Radio in Dickinson, North Dakota. We still keep in contact
with some current Plentywood residents including Pee Wee and Gladys
Robertson, Bill and Eunice Peterson, and Valerie and Corey Benson.

My parents were Rupert and Alice Marsh. I
have four sisters. I married Perry Brandenberger in Plentywood
December 20, 1958. We moved to Texas two years later. We lived at
his parents ranch for a year when we moved to San Antonio. We have
one son, Bill who was born on December 7, 1971. I worked for
Southwestern Bell until 1989 when I retired. Perry had already
retired from Kelly Air Force base and was living in Mason. Bill and
I moved there in 1989. Perry developed stomach cancer in 1990 and
died in 1992. Bill married and had two kids, 1 from a previous
relationship. I am now staying at his house and taking care of him
and the two littelist kids. Their mother decided she wanted to get a
divorce. The kids are 5 and 6 so they are in school every day. I am
very involved in my church and family. I hope to be able to come up
this summer if possible.

Jenna
(Richardson) Pryor here! I attended Plentywood High School in the
early nineties, but moved away in my junior year and finished back
East. (However, in my early twenties I was lucky enough to spend a
single year living and working in Plentywood once again.) In 2002,
many questions I'd had concerning the Old Testament and its
relevance to modern Christianity were finally answered, and so I now
embrace the lifestyle of Messianic Judaism (still believing in
Messiah for salvation, but recognizing Torah as noneother than
foundational to Christianity). At the end of 2002 I married a
military gentleman stationed near Omaha, one Steven Pryor of Texas.
If anyone would like to write, please do! My times in Plentywood
were of the most precious of my life, and I would be thrilled to
hear from anyone who wishes to speak of that place.

Tom Geelan, class of '55, June 1957. The list of where we have been
since is long - have been in Havre since 1977, though. Tom and I are
both retired and seem to be busier than when we worked. Retirement
is "sweet"!! We take road trips all over and have a grand
time. We have 2 sons - Bill in Spokane and Dan here in Havre,
graduating from MSU-Northern in December with a major in Biology and
minor in Chemistry. His goal is to become a physician's assistant
with the help of the Montana National Guard. Bill manages a motel in
Spokane and just loves it out there. Would love to hear from anyone
- we have missed the last two reunions because both times I was busy
having back surgery. If there is one this next summer, I will forego
having any surgery and do the reunion.

ktm550@cox.net
Las
Vegas, NV
It
took me 19 years to find a decent job, a fairly good place to stay
and encouragement to settle down. In 1998, my wife (Gail Clapp from
Glendive, MT. Marriage attempt #2.) and I decided to pack it up and
move to Las Vegas, NV. Starting out in Vegas, I managed an over-whelmingly
successful Internet service that was bought out by a local telephone
company in early 1999. The local telco that bought out the ISP I was
working with hired me, but it didn't take the new owners long to
tell me that there was not enough room for me and their company. And
that was fine. I had a job offer with Sprint PCS and I'll had to do
was so 'OK' to start the PCS job. On August 2, 1999, I said 'OK' and
started working with Sprint PCS as an RF (field) Technician.
Basically the job entailed driving around and maintaining a bunch of
"tower sites" in a new 4x4 pick-up with $150,000 dollars
worth of test equipment in it that I had no clue how to use! It was
by far the funnest job I've ever held!
Yes,
I did manage to learn how to use all that stuff, but by the time I
had the hang of the field work, I got an offer to move into the
switching office and learn how to use $1,000,000.00 dollars worth of
equipment that I had absolutely no clue in hell about using it. In
fact, I had no idea why all that equipment and other crap existed in
the switching office!
That
was then. And it's a different ball game now. I still work the
switch but it's now 4 times the size it was and it's no infinitely
more complex. And I understand how it works too, which is a bonus!
The work is rather tense a lot of time. But, it's punctuated quite
often by the ridiculously goofy actions/mistakes of the very funny
and entertaining group of people I work with.
So,
if you're ever in Las Vegas and someone's using Sprint PCS as their
wireless telephone provider, think of me. I'm one of two people that
makes sure the calls will connect!
My
wife Gail works as an Embryologist with a traveling IVF consulting
team. Quite honestly, she tells me about what she does everyday, yet
I still don't have a clue what it is that she really does. Go to the
website called www.ivflabs.com
and then you'll know about as much as
I do about what she does.
Daci
(22), my oldest daughter graduated from Concordia College this year
(May 2003) and lives in Las Vegas too and just started as a mortgage
loan officer.
Darcell
(19), my youngest daughter lives in Billings, MT and works at the
Dos Machos Mexican restaurant. When in Billings, please dine there
and tip heavily. Thank you.
My
sister, Jonna Lynn Underwood, lives with her husband Craig in Grass
Valley, CA. She works in the insurance business. Husband Craig works
as a newspaper circulation manager with the area's newspaper. They've
just had a baby and it's name is Bodie, a brand spanking new Yellow
Lab. This addition to their home gives a whole new meaning to the
word "parenting". (If Jonna reads this, she's gonna' rip
me a new one, I just know it.)
My
folks Gordon and Marilyn Overby remain living on their little
homestead south of Plentywood. Dad retired from farming and sold out
it 2000. They spend the winter's from November to March in Mesa, AZ.
Feel
free to e-mail and say "Hello". Do not be shy about asking
what I did and where I went from the time I left High School to
landing in Las Vegas. There's just too much to tell for the scope of
this forum.
Lastly,
allow me to answer a question before it gets asked. Yes, I still
play with dirt bikes. With all the desert surrounding me, how can
one NOT play with dirt bikes? If you want to know more about riding
the desert, you know the drill (e-mail me). With that, I'll drop the
topic and finish by saying this. Desert riding is 10 times more
dangerous than puttering around on a pasture in the Plentywood area.
However, once a person gets the hang of desert riding, it's 100
times more fun than puttering around a pasture!
My
Best Wishes to All,
Kirk

September 4, 2003. I understand there is a new Plentywood Alumni

if he tried to send it to me, it was probably rejected due to the

11th created bad business for Boeing and I almost got laid off so I
moved to Casper, WY where I'm designing natural gas processing
equipment for a small company. I tricked Melissa Christensen from
Westby to marrying me in 2002.

Tom
& I were married in Dec. of 1964. Since 1967 we have lived and
worked on my home place, Cloverdale Ranch in Redstone. We have three
sons, Sam, Zachary, and Carl. We feel very lucky to live in a rural,
caring community and to be able to live the lifestyle that many city
folks would envy, even though the work is hard and the financial
rewards are always uncertain. Those of you who remember me from high
school would probably be surprised to see me do the things I do
now--everything from A.I.ing cows to running the combine. We don't
have hired help, and our boys are off making their own way in the
world, so I probably am outside more than in. I would not want to
start listing old friends, as I would probably forget someone. Most
of the classmates I know of have not changed a whole lot--some are
their same lovable outgoing selves, and a couple are still
jerks!

local Caribou coffee shops, downtown clubs, and various happy hours.

I
graduated from Outlook High School in 1984 and went on to graduate
from Northern Montana College (MSU-Northern) in 1989. I've been
married to my wife Andrea, who was born and raised in Havre, for 13+
years. Once we got married, we moved to Tempe Arizona for five years
where I worked for Bank of America in the BankCard Fraud Division
and Andrea worked for a property management company as an Assistant
Apartment Manager. We currently have been living in Havre for the
past eight years where I'm an Loan Technician for a non-profit economic
development corporation (Bear Paw Development) and Andrea is a
stay-at-home Mom. We have two great kids, Kerrie (5) and Drew (3). I
love the website since I don't get to visit the Plentywood area very
often. This a great way for me to keep up on what's going on around
the area. Keep up the great work.

When
I first filled out your contact page, I thought it was a great idea
for a small community (home) to have a web site/contact listing of
friends. Since I have been listed, my wife and I have been barraged
by numerous emails from Africa wanting money stored in our accounts.
This is a scam, for certain, and I think this group of hackers has
pillaged your data base and is sending and distributing email
worldwide. There is information in the address blocks of these
messages that I know has originated from your site. (e.g. My wife's
maiden name) I know it is my fault for listing on Sheridan's site,
but in most ways I regret doing this. Is there anyway to protect
Sheridan's site?
January
3, 2003
Webmaster's
Note:
Thanks
for writing and expressing your concerns about the security at
plentywood, com. I'm sure you'll agree that it is nice to have a
convenient listing of friends' email addresses.
Security
was one of our initial concerns when we started posting people's
names and email addresses. That is why we put the note on the signup
page that advises you to only put the information you feel
comfortable about in the form. As far as the information
availability goes, the only information available to anyone is what
you see on the site. There is no database that anyone can
"hack" into.
The
server company we use to host the web site is a reputable,
state-of-the-art operation. They incorporate all the latest
anti-virus, anti-spam, and anti-hacker technology available and
update it regularly. Our site has no information that a hacker could
obtain. There is no hidden information to find.
The
African emails you refer to are very prolific. I don't think I know
of anyone who is immune to them. They have been around for about 5
years. I personally have 4 email address and receive these messages
on all of them, and have for several years. These groups generally
do not hack into sites to obtain information. All the information
they need about you is readily available from numerous companies
that gather and sell all types of lists of information. I'm sorry
you think that the Africans got your wife's maiden name from our web
site, but I can assure you that anyone can find out that information
very easily. In fact, for $20, I could get a copy of your tax return
if I wanted to. Besides, the only way anyone could get that
information from plentywood.com would be to go to the web site and
manually copy it all down. I don't think it would be cost effective
for people who send out billions of these emails to spend an hour
copying 2 or 3 hundred names and email addresses from
plentywood.com.
But
these are just my thoughts. I will be more than happy to remove you
and your wife's name and contact information if you wish. Just let
me know.
